Friends and Family,
10 years ago, I started TomsNet to help coordinate our family's first Pig Roast. It evolved over the years. First a family blog, then one that tracked Kristen as she began her career. Then lots of family stuff as we moved and enjoyed life.
But I think it is time to move on.
TomsNet is now dark. I won't give up the name, but the website has kind of lost its appeal to me. Most of our viewers these days are looking for info about KB, and that is fine. But the family focus can be better served, I think, on Facebook. That is the busy street where everyone is. So it makes sense that I move there.
Anyway, if you are a friend or family member, join me on Facebook. I will do my best to provide more frequent updates. It's much easier in that format of quick thoughts and messages. And I look forward to hearing from each of you, too!
Thanks
Tom
To each of you: Thanks. I've seen you on the site (some only by location) and, knowing that you visit often, appreciated your looking in. Feel free to join the new TomsNet on Facebook. It's just time to take this back to its roots. And, who knows, maybe rebirth it at some point as a real blog.
Not that I have anything to say, or whatever. :)
Until we meet. Tom

Mr. Bell, I hope you read this before it goes dark; I've enjoyed the website for a while; I admit, Kristen drew me to it, but the other stuff has enhanced my experience here. I will miss it very much. I hope we can continue to be friends as I value your comments about visiting my blog at MySpace. I will continue that commitment to quality, and hope that Kristen herself might drop by and see it. Any input from Team Bell is encouraged and appreciated.
Again, congratulations on your daughter's engagement; if any one person I've encountered in my travels deserves more happiness and success, I can't think of anyone else more worthy of each than Kristen. She's brought out the philanthropist in me (she doesn't know it, but KB recruited me to Invisible Children; in fact, I donated the white labcoat she wore in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which was one of the prizes of winning the auction that allowed me to see her at the world premiere and afterparty, to IC). She's made a most positive difference in my life. Wishing me recovery after I was released from the hospital for acute pancreatitis, when I was in a really dark place in terms of being down in the dumps, via Twitter, shattered my sadness. Words can hurt, but they can heal, too. You are very good people, ones of good character. You should be very proud of your daughter. We fans are. :)
Thanks again and take care.

What a joy to have known you and this family (quietly) over the years. I hope you all realize you have something very special. We share many connections from good eatin' and grillin' to the the basic gratitude and thanks for blessings and the joys of life.

So where am I going to get menu suggestions and gift ideas for Lonnie...and of course music and video links for me? Though I am happy to see you're finally joining the rest of the universe on FB but it won't be the same. Thanks for sharing the world of Bell with the us. Congrats on a job well done my friend.
